Solid Wood Reclaimed Kitchen Island in Butcher Block Style.

Crafted from solid reclaimed, distressed solid pine and  fitted with either a 35-40mm slimmer solid pine top or with a 60-70mm chunky pine top although either look amazing and give heaps of charcter to the kitchen area, not forgetting the extra storage and worktop space.

The Solid 35-40mm timber butcher block style top is in most cases made from narrow full stave pieces of timber to reduce warping and then crafted into a functional top and then given the appearance of extra thick and extra wide planks for that traditional style look but allowing for an easier to clean and maintain surface. The 60-70mm tops are usually made from wider planks when avaiable.  The top will be treated with Danish oil for protection and will require ongoing treatment to maintain its look and resistance to moisture. Either thickness of top is pleasing to the eye and adds to the overall rustic look of the piece.

The island can be fitted with reclaimed railway spikes as towel and utensil hangers or more modern stainless steel style long handles for a sleeker look.

With single or double shelf below depending upon your needs you can have your perfect kitchen island, butcher block made to suit your home.

Made to standard sizes you know you are purchasing a multifunctional, eye-catching and beautiful piece of furniture whatever its purpose is.
